Stride, a K12 company, is hiring a High School Art Teacher for West Virginia Virtual Academy (WVVA), a partner school providing families with a high-quality, personalized online education. The teacher delivers course content in an online environment, working from home while occasionally traveling for school functions.

Essential functions:
  • Provide rich, engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
  • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on each student's level of mastery
  • Maintain the grade book, monitor student progress, and alert administrators to concerns
  • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families, communicating regularly with students and learning coaches
  • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized testing
  • Travel as required, on average once per month, for professional development, student testing, and school functions

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, an active state teaching license (Art certification required, with West Virginia reciprocity within 60 days of hire), and ability to clear a background check. West Virginia residency is strongly preferred, with residents of neighboring states also considered.

Compensation and benefits: The salary range is $44,000-$46,000, with eligibility for a performance bonus and stipends. Stride offers a robust benefits package including health coverage, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
