Position: Specialist, Partnership Management

Employer: Pearson - School Assessment

Location: Remote (flexible work-from-anywhere environment)

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000

The Specialist, Partnership Management supports School Assessment in the successful delivery and fulfillment of assigned program(s). This role requires being self-motivated, diligent, and able to meet business and project demands within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, whether responsible for multiple projects or one larger project within a program requiring multiple resources and functional integration. The Specialist spends considerable time communicating with customers and stakeholders (vendors, cross-functional teams, subcontractors) to ensure customer satisfaction, and anticipates opportunities and issues proactively while managing scope using project management applications and tools.

Customer Relationship Management:
  • Establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with internal resources and external customers
  • Provide outstanding customer service, responsive and timely to questions, concerns, and requests
  • Serve as a point-of-contact to the customer and cross-functional teams for day-to-day execution

Project Management:
  • Own project responsibility through the full life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close)
  • Maintain the project management plan, customer requirements, project schedule, and other documentation
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables; support implementation of SOWs and contracts
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, and implement approved actions to mitigate project risk events
  • Measure project performance, identify and quantify variances, perform corrective actions, and communicate results to stakeholders
  • Assist in the change control process, including tracking, writing scope documents, and gathering estimates and pricing

Business Development & Financial Management:
  • Support the Manager, Partner Success, with project and program level new business initiatives, including writing statements of work and change requests
  • Support financial reviews and documentation to ensure contracts are maintained within budget and margin expectations
  • Identify process improvement initiatives to reduce cost while maintaining quality

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree desired or commensurate experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in a project management role
  • PMP certification or demonstrated understanding of Project Management Institute (PMI) principles preferred
  • Significant experience with customer service and project management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Some travel required
