Location and Travel: These roles are remote. Candidates will be expected to travel for on-site service delivery, partner meetings, internal team meetings, and other external engagements.
We are currently filling two positions for this role:
One position is designated for the South region, with a strong preference for candidates based in Texas.
The second position may be based anywhere in the United States.
While applicants from all geographies will be considered, final placement will align with organizational needs and regional priorities.
The Opportunity
At Lavinia Group, a division of K12 Coalition, the Managing Director, Growth and Partnerships leads regional growth by cultivating new district and school partnerships, advancing strategic relationships, and driving revenue across a defined geography. This role blends strategic vision with high-level relationship management to expand the organization’s regional footprint and achieve regional growth goals. The Managing Director identifies new opportunities, leads targeted outreach, and collaborates across teams to develop proposals and partnership plans aligned to partner needs and organizational priorities.
The Managing Director, Growth and Partnerships reports to the Vice President, School Partnerships and includes management responsibilities. This role will manage up to six direct reports, which may shift over time based on organizational needs.
What You’ll Do
Leading for Impact: Portfolio Management
Directly manage a portfolio of large, strategic partnerships in the region.
Build strong, trusting relationships with all stakeholders and leverage relationships to build capacity and drive toward partnership goals.
Craft strategy based on partnership needs, consistently monitor progress toward goals, and make adjustments to plans based on data and evolving priorities.
Partnership Development and Growth Strategy
Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders at the national, state, district, and school levels.
Create short-term and long-term regional growth strategy and develop tactical plans to reach partnership and revenue goals.
Secure new partnerships to achieve the region’s annual revenue and growth goals.
Actively pursue new partnerships and nurture early-stage relationships to strengthen the regional pipeline.
Write proposals and serve as executive sponsor for RFPs.
Attend and present at national and regional conferences as a representative of the organization.
Monitor feedback and market trends to inform partnership offerings and support program development.
Build relationships with philanthropic partners and stakeholders to support long-term regional growth and strategic opportunities.
Team Leadership, Performance Management, and Development
Manage a regional team to meet growth, impact, and revenue goals.
Provide differentiated coaching, guidance, and support to strengthen team members' skills in outreach, relationship-building, and partnership strategy.
Ensure ongoing talent development and support bench-building within the regional team.
Fiscal and Resource Management
Oversee and drive revenue generation within the region with clear annual sales targets.
Manage and monitor regional budgets for organizational and fee-for-service contracts.
Forecast staffing needs aligned to growth strategy and collaborate with senior leaders to inform staffing decisions.
Utilize and maintain systems for deploying staff and consultants to support regional growth objectives.
Other Duties
Support the team with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to help meet evolving organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Senior K12 Leadership Experience
Brings significant leadership experience in a district, network, or education services organization where partnership development, strategic relationship management, and regional strategy are core responsibilities.
Proven Partnership and Growth Leadership
Demonstrated success generating large district partnerships, securing multi-year engagements, and expanding a regional footprint, ideally including experience building growth efforts in Texas or similar markets.
Strategic Planning and Systems Building
Strong strategic planning capabilities with the ability to design growth strategies, navigate ambiguity, build systems and processes, and support sustainable regional expansion aligned to organizational goals.
Deep Understanding of Education Ecosystems
Possesses a strong grasp of instructional priorities, district needs, statewide education context, and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, including national and local funders.
Executive Presence and Relationship Building
Exhibits strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence, build trust, and manage complex stakeholder dynamics, while representing the organization confidently with leaders at all levels and ensuring strategic work is grounded in quality execution.

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000 with an additional variable compensation/bonus plan based upon individual performance.
As part of our commitment to maintaining fair and consistent compensation practices, new hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the band minimum and midpoint, based on their qualifications, location, internal alignment, and the budgeted amount for the role.
