The Springfield City School District is on the move! With a focus on Project Based Learning, a 1:1 student technology initiative, and the development and measurement of non-cognitive factors in classroom contexts, we are addressing the new knowledge economy that requires young people who can collaborate and act independently, think critically, find and evaluate information, persevere despite obstacles, and apply knowledge and skills in new situations. We serve approximately 8,000 students in 15 modern school buildings. We continue to invest in new technology and the tools necessary to be successful in the 21st century.

School Psychologist
This posting is not for a particular vacancy, however, it will allow for Job & Career Fair applicants to apply, complete, and submit an application with the Springfield City School District. Please answer the questions associated with this posting. As vacancies for the 2026-27 school year are officially posted, these positions will indicate a specific building. As a contracted employee, this position is assigned to work 183 days per year and 7.25 hours per day.
Starting salary is in accordance with the negotiated agreement, increases with experience and education.
The Springfield Education Association and the Board of Education are currently working on a new professional agreement. While that is in the works, please refer to the current agreement as to pay and benefits that are in place for the 2023-26 school year.

In the 2025-26 school year Springfield was able to offer a $1,600.00 longevity bonus to all employees in addition to an annual attendance bonus of potentially $1,100.00.
