Salary: Per ABEA Contract; Range: $175 - $250 per day

Special Education Teacher - Pathways Program (Autism) - Long Term Sub

Term: May 18, 2026 - October 16, 2026 (School Year)

Position Summary: The Acton-Boxborough Regional School District, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to work as a Lead Teacher in the Pathways Program at the Blanchard Elementary School. The Pathways Program is a well-supported classroom using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The program is designed to help children diagnosed with Autism reach their full potential. The students receive highly specialized instruction with inclusion opportunities provided and supported as appropriate. Under the direction of the teacher, the program is supported by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist and ABA Tutors.

Job Requirements

Qualifications include:

Masters degree
Massachusetts DESE License as Moderate or Severe Special Needs License with Autism Endorsement
BCBA strongly preferred
Autism Endorsement
Experience with children with Autism is required Must be the kind of person who is warm, caring, respectful and have a strong desire to work with elementary age children Familiarity and training with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis required
