Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Position Purpose: Speech Language Pathologist Assistants work under the supervision of the certified speech-language pathologist to assist with the implementation of treatment plans, collaborate with staff members, and collect data on student performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences (Preferred)
  • Experience with children preferred

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Document student performance and report information to SLP
  • Assist SLP with treatment implementation using the treatment plan developed by SLP
  • Collaborate with teachers and related service staff on a regular ongoing basis
  • Adhere to student IEPs as directed by SLP
  • Support in creating and preparing materials as directed by SLP
  • Log sessions into Relay/Compuclaim
  • Maintain updated data on all goals and objectives addressed in sessions

Job Details:
  • 37.5 hours per week inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid lunch (35 hours per week is paid)
  • The staff member may travel between 3 schools within the district
  • Caseload: Students Pre-K to 12
Requirements:
  • Must pass federal and local background checks
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must complete all pre-employment requirements before the start date.

Term:
  • Full-time
  • Starting rate $25.00-$27.00 per hour, depending on experience

Evaluation:
  • The evaluation shall be performed by the Principal or their designee
