Now Onboarding, Classroom aide for Fitchburg CARES School.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Massachusetts serves students with various complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Based in Fitchburg, MA, our CARES School is a therapeutic day school that serves individuals age 6 through 21 who carry diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual Disability. You could be a part of an exceptional team of staff who support the needs of students in grades K-12 and beyond as they work towards diplomas and learn vocational, transitional, and social-emotional skills. Our students have typically experienced multiple academic failures, most often resulting from a wide variety of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The help you provide will make a difference in their lives!

Our students have typically experienced multiple academic failures, most often resulting from a wide variety of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. We utilize and train our staff with principles from PBIS, DBT, and Trauma-informed care to support the students' needs in a learning environment.

We offer staff the resources to be successful in their role and provide them with opportunities for growth within the organization. After just six months full time Teachers' Aides at Devereux receive access to tuition assistance and Loan Forgiveness Programs, as well as a supportive leadership team that works to promote them in their growth. We are shaped by growing Servant Leadership and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives within our school.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age or older
Valid Drivers License
Bachelor's degree preferred or High-school diploma with relevant human services experience required.
Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.
