Elementary school counselors are certified/licensed professionals who design and
implement a comprehensive school counseling program that promotes student success.
They work collaboratively with students, teachers, parents, and administrators to create
a safe and supportive learning environment. Their role is proactive, focusing on
prevention and early intervention to address the developmental needs of young
children.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Required:
Master's degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Valid [State] School Counselor Certification/License.
Experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational or
counseling setting.
Preferred:
Experience with group facilitation and conflict resolution strategies.
Proficiency in utilizing data-driven approaches for student success.
