School Business Administrator/Board Secretary

Position Available: July 1, 2026
  • Valid NJ Certification in School Business Administration
  • Master's Degree or CPA required
  • Minimum of five years' experience in fields related to School Business Administrator responsibilities
  • Qualified Purchasing Agent preferred
  • Strong organizational, communications, managerial, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the payroll process (i.e., data entry, calculations, file maintenance, and check printing), pensions, and staff leaves (FMLA/NJFLA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of accepted business practices in school districts related to budget preparation and administration, insurance, purchasing, transportation, food services, technology, safety and security, school plant operations and facility planning
  • Understanding of the principals and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statute, code, and GAAP requirements
  • Standard Board Secretary duties, including meeting agenda and minutes preparation, public communications, Open Public Records Act (OPRA), Open Public Meetings ACT (OPMA) requirements, school election coordination
