Regional Coordinator

Regional Coordinator: Northeast Kingdom or Central West
Migrant Education Regional Coordinators connect with migratory agricultural workers living in Vermont and work collaboratively with Farmworker Education team members to effectively implement education services, activities, and projects. Each position is expected to work a minimum of a .75 (28.12 hours per week)FTEwith full-time benefits but may have the option to increase to a 1.0 (37.5 hours per week) FTE based on workload and funding. Regional Coordinators are responsible for identifying eligible farm workers, enrolling them and their family members into applicable programs, and facilitating educational and support services for enrolled students. They utilize judgement to prioritize work and select appropriate methods to respond to needs as they arise. This position functions with minimal daily supervision, while working in collaboration with a statewide team of outreach professionals and program coordinators to fulfil programmatic objectives. An undergraduate degree and one to two years' related experience OR an equivalent combination of training and experience is required. Applicants must be proficient in Spanish and English and demonstrate cultural humility as well as the ability to plan, organize, and coordinate effectively and independently. Strong interpersonal communication skills, capacity to work effectively with diverse audiences, and proficient computer/multimedia telecommunication skills are essential. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Undergraduate degree and one to two years' related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Willingness to travel extensively within Vermont and work a flexible schedule, which at times will include long days, evenings, and weekends.
Strong team player capable of independently implementing coordinated work plans and using sound judgement to prioritize, respond to, and complete tasks; agility to adapt daily and weekly work plans based on factors such as participant availability, shifting needs, and weather conditions.
Proficient in English and Spanish with demonstrated cultural humility.
Strong interpersonal communication skills with experience and capacity to work effectively with diverse audiences with different needs and interests.
Proficient computer and multimedia telecommunication skills for work on a distributed team.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with rural farm/agricultural families and/or under-resourced populations.Familiarity with Vermont public school system, adult education, and healthcare/social service access.
Experience with collaboration on a distributed team.
Anticipated Pay Range
$21.80/hour to $25.50/hour
Other Information
Position will be based out of an Exension Field office in territory area.
Position is at a .75FTE (28.13 hours per week).
Probationary period of 120 days is mandatory for external applicants.
Extensive travel throughout region.Must be able to work occasional odd hours and weekends.
Travel may be in inclement weather on backroads.
Special Conditions
Contingent on continued funding, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
