Location: Office Student Support Programs and Services (District Office). Serving schools on the East side of the County: Wesley Chapel High School, Pasco High School, Zephyrhills High School, and other high schools as needed.

7.5 Hours per day
JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive counseling program with emphasis on academics, prevention, and early intervention to maximize students' academic success in accordance with District policies and state laws; and for planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and services for off-track students to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE- Master's degree from an accredited institution in the field of Guidance and Counseling, School Counseling, or related field
- Two years' experience in developing and implementing K-12 prevention-intervention programs
- Two years' experience teaching and/or guiding students who have been identified as at-risk
- Professional development experience in the areas of research-based exemplary practices for at-risk students and assessment, communication skills, monitoring for student achievement, and student and parent/guardian conferencing skills
- OR
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS - Valid and/or eligible for a Florida Educator's Professional Certificate in a coverage at the appropriate level
- Valid Florida Educator's Certificate in Guidance and Counseling or School Counseling PK-12.
