Position
Main Street School is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) or a special educator with significant behavioral experience to join our team. The BCBA will be responsible for providing direct daily services 1:1 to student and creating programming. The BCBA/special educator will develop and oversee positive behavior intervention plans for a student with significant behavioral and communication needs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to ensure the best possible educational outcomes for our students. The IDEA grant will fund this position.
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop individualized positive behavior intervention plan (BIP).
*Provide ongoing support and training for teachers and staff on behavior management techniques and strategies related to students.
*Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the behavior intervention plan and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
*Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop a comprehensive support plan for the student.
*Assist in crisis intervention and the development of proactive strategies to prevent behavioral issues.
*Communicate effectively with the family, providing them with resources and guidance to support their child's behavioral development at home.

Qualifications:
*Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) certification or special education certification
*Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
*Experience working in an educational setting is preferred
*Proven track record of developing and implementing effective behavior intervention plans
Additional Duties:
*Assist guidance, pupil services staff, and building administration, as needed
*Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards:
*Works in standard office and school building environments.
*Ability to work outdoors during outdoor student activities.
*Prior experience working with special needs children desirable.
