Job Description
Worcester Cultural Academy is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Registered Nurse to join our team in Worcester, MA. This is a part-time position (3 days per week, 8 hours per day) working under the direction of our School Nurse Manager. We are looking for someone who brings clinical expertise, genuine care for children and families, and the ability to be a calm and trusted presence in a busy school environment. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, and we welcome all candidates who reflect the cultural and linguistic diversity of our community.
Who We Are
Worcester Cultural Academy (WCA) is a growing charter public school that opened in August 2023 with a vision of becoming a K-8 community. We launched as a K-4 school and have added a grade every year since - this fall we welcome our first 7th graders. As an EL (Expeditionary Learning) Education school, we believe in hands-on learning that challenges students to grow in three dimensions: mastery of knowledge and skills, character, and high-quality work. We partner with organizations like the EcoTarium, Worcester Art Museum, and Hanover Theater and anchor our curriculum in Learning Expeditions that make learning meaningful and real. Healthy, safe students are the foundation of everything we do - and our school nurse is essential to making that possible.
We want to be honest with prospective candidates: this is energizing, demanding work. Our student population includes children with complex medical needs, severe allergies, and a wide range of health considerations. You will be the primary clinical presence in the building on the days you are here, working in close coordination with our School Nurse Manager who provides continuity and oversight across the full week. If you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and genuinely loves working with kids, you will fit right in.
