Position Summary
Medford High School is seeking a skilled Plumbing Instructor to provide hands-on training aligned to Massachusetts Chapter 74 standards. The program prepares students for careers in plumbing and gas fitting, including pathways toward licensure.
Responsibilities
Deliver technical instruction in plumbing systems, pipefitting, code, and safety
Prepare students for industry credentials and apprenticeship pathways
Supervise shop/lab activities with a focus on safety and proper tool use
Maintain equipment, inventory, and compliant learning environments
Collaborate with industry partners and Program Advisory Committee
Integrate academic standards into technical instruction
Qualifications
Massachusetts DESE Vocational Technical Teacher License in Plumbing (9-12), OR eligibility to obtain licensure
Current Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Plumber License required
Minimum required years of industry experience per DESE guidelines
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Ability to meet Chapter 74 program requirements
