Performance Responsibilities:
Effects appropriate changes to existing networks.
Creates new networking schemes from specifications.
Produces and changes networks accurately, effectively, and on time, in the appropriate formats.
Effectively utilizes the latest data processing techniques and productivity tools in use by the district.
Insures optimal network up-time for all user departments.
Maintains documentation in compliance with standard practices.
Assists in technically supervising and guiding and Network Technicians.
Assists in preparing system documentation and network specifications.
Demonstrates proficiencies in creating programs and updates to database.
Reviews current developments, literature and technical sources of information.
Insures adherence to safety practices.
Follows all relevant policies, procedures, and protocols.
Performs other job-related functions as assigned.

Qualifications:
- At least one of the following qualifications is required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a relevant major
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with a relevant major and two (2) years of relevant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of relevant experience with progressive increase in responsibility
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a relevant major
- Minimum of two (2) years successful leadership experience
- Minimum of seven (7) years of network experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Information Technology, Infrastructure and Operations, Industry Standards and Practices
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and other network documents
- Working knowledge of WAN, LAN, Wireless Networks, and Network Security
- Ability to work within the team concept

- Industry certifications
