The Cincinnati Public School District invites applications for the position of Manager II of Teaching, Learning and Academic Innovation. This position provides leadership in curriculum development, instructional improvement, professional learning and academic programming to support student achievement across the district.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong instructional leadership, collaboration skills and the ability to support district initiatives aligned to state standards, evidence-based instructional practices and continuous improvement efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's degree in Education required. Must possess or be willing to pursue a valid State of Ohio Administrative License.

Experience Required: Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience within grades K-12.

Demonstrated experience in:
  • Curriculum development and instructional planning
  • Professional learning and adult learning facilitation
  • Data analysis and academic progress monitoring
  • Ohio Learning Standards and instructional best practices
  • Implementation of High Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM)
  • Literacy and intervention support systems

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate shall possess the ability to:
  • Develop, implement and evaluate curriculum and instructional programming aligned to district priorities and Ohio Learning Standards.
  • Support the implementation of district instructional initiatives, including High Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), evidence-based instructional practices and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the district's K-3 literacy plan and support literacy acceleration initiatives aligned to the Science of Reading.
  • Support district efforts related to gap closing, academic achievement and equitable access to high-quality instructional opportunities for all students.
  • Collaborate with school leaders and district teams to support instructional improvement and student achievement initiatives.
  • Facilitate professional learning opportunities aligned to district goals, academic data and research-based best practices.
  • Analyze district academic data to inform instructional decision-making, curriculum revisions and intervention planning.
  • Support gifted programming and instructional services to ensure compliance and high-quality learning opportunities for identified students.
  • Facilitate the annual review of curriculum resources, content standards and instructional materials.
  • Manage the selection, integration and evaluation of instructional materials and curricular resources.
  • Support implementation and monitoring of Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plans (RIMPs) and related intervention supports.
  • Collaborate with Curriculum Councils and district teams to ensure curriculum documents and instructional resources are updated and aligned annually.
  • Attend and facilitate curriculum and interdisciplinary instructional meetings as assigned.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with state, regional and national educational organizations.
  • Seek and coordinate resources to support curriculum development, instructional initiatives and academic programming.
  • Disseminate information regarding curriculum, instructional resources, Ohio Department of Education requirements and district instructional expectations.
  • Review instructional materials and curricular programs introduced by external vendors and educational resource providers.
  • Manage multiple projects, including budgets, timelines, instructional resources and implementation plans.
  • Support district-wide academic priorities and instructional initiatives as assigned by the Deputy Superintendent.

EMPLOYMENT PROVISIONS

Type of Contract: Limited - 260 Day Contract

Salary: Manager II - Per CAAS Agreement
