Job Description CRAIG COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL - 12 Months2026-2027 School YearThe Craig County School Board in Virginia is seeking to secure a highly qualified applicant for Craig County High School that
is available for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
We are looking for an individual with:- Successful experience planning and implementing instructional initiatives
- Experience with the implementation of state and federal requirements including Virginia Standards of Learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understand the importance of school accreditation and ability to work with parents and staff as a team to maintain this standard
- Teaching and administrative experience preferred
- Record of success in establishing an effective learning environment and maintaining high standards of student conduct
- Familiarity with the use of technology in curriculum, instruction, and administration
- A collaborative leadership style
- Dependability and punctuality
Minimum Qualifications:- Master's degree in School Administration or Curriculum and Instruction
- Hold or be eligible for a Virginia license with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision - PreK-12
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in implementing educational programs
Preferred Qualifications: - Three years full time teaching experience and an assistant principal and/or principal experience preferred.
- Experience at the secondary level.
Salary: 2026 - 2027 School Year 12-Month Professional salary scale with benefits
FLSA: Exempt
