ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITIONTitle of Position: Summer Principal Clerk
Salary: Contractual Rate
Organizational Relationshipor Line of Authority: Directly responsible to the Supervisor of Food Service in all matters related to the department.
Statement of Duties:- Responsible for all monies collected in all schools on a daily and weekly basis.
- Answer telephone calls from all cafeteria personnel regarding student lunch status.
- Balance daily paper work with bank deposits each day.
- Open, sort and route incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail.
- Prepare monthly menus and flyers.
- Prepares memos, correspondence and/or reports.
- Assist with Food Service ordering, data entry, check verify and process invoices.
- Assist in month end reporting procedures.
- Communicate daily departmental with City Treasures and City Auditors' Departments.
- Assist Principal Bookkeeper when needed.
- Responsible for other general duties as indicated by the Supervisor of Food Service, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee and polices of the Haverhill School Committee.
Qualifications:- High School Diploma
- Secretarial and /or clerical experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong effective time management planning capabilities.
- Performs all clerical work in the office with little supervision.
- Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to multi-task when necessary.
- Skills to operate standard office equipment including use of computer applications and various business machines.
- Perform data entry and word processing. The data entry will include: Daily Sales and Excel Balancing Report.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and familiar with Apple software, SchoolBrains, and Budgetsense.
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the building principal or his/her designee may find appropriate and acceptable.
