Full-Time Speech and Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) - K-12

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative full-time Speech and Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) to support students in grades Kindergarten through Grade 12. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct speech and language services and support student communication development across educational settings.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress toward IEP goals and objectives
  • Assist with documentation and progress monitoring
  • Facilitate Tier 2 social pragmatic language groups for students requiring targeted social communication support
  • Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families to support student success
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all district, state, and federal regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development as assigned
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders or related field
  • Current state licensure/certification as a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant, if required by state regulations
  • Experience working with school-aged students preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
  • Experience supporting students with social communication needs preferred
Supervision

The SLP-A will work under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist in accordance with state regulations and professional standards.
