This posting is for AIDE nominees only. Please complete the application and apply if you would like to be on the ballot which will be voted upon by all service personnel.

We are in the process of collecting nominations for an election to be held to select members of the Service Staff Development Council.

The Service Staff Development Council will have authority to propose staff development programs with final approval by the county administration. The programs shall be based on predetermined needs of service personnel, reflect state and local board of education goals and policies, include activities which provide for individual as well as group need, include school level and county level learning opportunities, and include an evaluation process.

The Staff Development Council will be made up of two members from each of the following service classification sectors: secretarial, custodial, maintenance, transportation, cafeteria, and aides. Selecting members of the council will be completed by first obtaining nominations of those that would like to be on the ballot with an election to occur subsequently.

Nominations: Job postings will be set up on the Careers page of the BCS website for the classification categories that have a vacancy. If you are interested, you select your category and complete a short application to add your name to the ballot.

Election: Nominated employees' names will appear on a ballot to be sent out countywide to all service employees. Open terms will be selected via a random drawing following the election with each category having a max of 2 representatives.

Compensation: Council members will be paid at their hourly rate for participation in meetings that will be held outside of the workday.
