Anticipated Vacancy
The following classified position is an anticipated opening within the Washington Court House City Schools for the 2026-2027 schoolyear.
CASE MANAGER
200 days per year 8 hours per day
Reports to Special Education Director
Job Objective: Performs secretarial duties that support the effective delivery of special education services.
Minimum Qualifications: HS diploma/GED. Post-secondary training or equivalent secretarial work is desirable. Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA and IDEA Child Find is desired. Multitasking ability. Knowledgeable in the use of office equipment, computer and software applications (Google Suite) that support job functions. Proficient in office protocol, data entry, spelling, proofreading, grammar, bookkeeping and mathematical data. Gives careful attention to details. Ability to establish working relationships with staff and function as part of a cohesive team. Commitment to keep current with workplace innovations that enhance personal productivity. Consistently dependable and flexible. Energetic self-starter that gives careful attention to details and effective customer service. Respects personal privacy and maintains the confidentiality of privileged information. A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. Complies with workplace rules and board policies.
Duties to include but not limited to: Schedules appointments as directed and maintains calendar. Keeps administrators/staff informed about scheduled events. Uses a computer to prepare/process information. Maintains and verifies electronic databases (DASL/Same Goal) and paper filing systems that support the safe and efficient retention and retrieval of files/records. Verifies the accuracy of database information for federal and state reports including but not limited to threshold costs and Medicaid reimbursement. Maintains an inventory of due process forms. Answers emails and calls from parents and staff in regards to special education concerns and directs messages. Responds to requests for information. Ensures that permission forms are on file for the release of information. Maintains a list of all special education placements. Tracks out-of-district students enrolled in district special education programs. Prepares reports as directed. Composes, types, copies, assembles, and files correspondence and or mailings. Discards or files archived records following the board-adopted record retention schedule.
