Title: Human Resources GeneralistReports To: SPS Director of Human Capital and Talent Development or designeeEssential Responsibilities- Responsible for answering day-to-day employee inquiries through the SPS Human Resources Help Desk
- Assists with employee recruitment activities
- Performs new employee onboarding activity to include collecting documents and ensuring compliance with new hire requirements
- Responds to external requests for employment verification
- Completes necessary reporting to include unemployment and worker's compensation
- Maintains personnel files of new and former employees
- Processes requests for employee leaves, to include FMLA
- Assists with annual HR activities to include salary notifications and training
- Assists with special projects as required
- Performs clerical functions as needed
Requirements- Highly motivated and eager to learn
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with varied populations
- Previous experience working in an office setting is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a public school setting is preferred.
- Displays a significant degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Google/Microsoft Office applications
