Resource NurseThe Resource Nurse provides comprehensive health services to students and staff within the school, ensuring a safe and healthy environment. This role supports the physical and emotional well-being of students, promotes health education, manages both chronic and acute health conditions, and collaborates closely with families, school staff, and healthcare providers.
This position supports the School Health Office and all its' duties while the School Nurse implements and manages a school health program aligned with Massachusetts guidelines, regulations, and statutes governing nursing practice and school health, along with focusing on the performance measures of the CSHS Grant.
Responcibilities include:
- Health Assessment and Care
- first aide and emergency care for injuries and illness
- manage care plans for students with medical needs
- medication administration
- health education and promotion
- documentation
- collaboration and communication with other nurses, support staff, administration, students and their families and community resources
- compliance with health office policies and proceedures
The Attleboro Public school currently has an anticipated part time resource - school nurse position. All applicants must:
- Current Licensed Massachusetts Registered Nurses (RN)
- Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- DESE Certification as a School Nurse or in the process
- CPR/AED First Aid certified
- 2-3 years Nursing experience in school nursing or related field such as pediatrics or community health prefered.
FY26 Full-time Salary range: $64,004 - $108,744
