SALARY (Non-negotiable)
$32,467 - $50,310 with benefits package (Based on verifiable experience in field)
Paygrade 7

HOURS
37.5 hours, 12 months (260 days)
Bargaining Unit: This position is part of the non-supervisory Support Services collective bargaining unit
FLSA: Non exempt

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma. Post secretarial training a plus.
  • Five (5) years office experience. Applicable post-secondary training may be accepted in lieu of experience.
  • Capacity to act independently with regard to continuing assignments requiring the organization of materials, handling of routine administrative details, preparation of reports, and sound decision-making.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to use advanced features of Microsoft Word (i.e. merges, tables, sorting, labels, etc.) Publisher, Excel, One Note, PowerPoint, Outlook and to learn new software applications related to the position.
  • Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Ability to interact in a positive manner with staff, educators, and the general public, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Good organizational and self-starter skills with ability to meet deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide administrative support for content supervisrs.
  • Perform routine tasks not limited to typing, filing, scheduling meetings, recording meeting minutes, and ordering and inventory of materials.
  • Process purchase orders and request quotes for content related purchases.
  • Oversee payroll procedures for the two departments and extension programs.
  • Prepare and process task codes.
  • Support with the oversight of department budgets.
  • Handle administrative details independently, including screening of telephone calls, composition of letters/memos, etc., and scheduling of appointments.
  • Maintain office records, files, and reports in an efficient manner.
  • Compile information for various projects.
  • Maintain website information for departments.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
