Job Description SALARY (Non negotiable)
$34,671 - $47,872 (includes benefits package)
Paygrade 6
HOURS12 months, 37.5 hours per week, 260 days
Bargaining Unit: This position is part of the non-supervisory support services bargaining unit

QUALIFICATIONS- High school diploma or equivalent. Post secretarial training a plus.
- Three (3) years' experience performing general clerical or secretarial work. Applicable post secondary training may be accepted in lieu of experience.
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation.
- Working knowledge of Ellevation (data platform) preferred.
- Ability to interact in a positive manner with staff, educators, and the general public and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to quickly and accurately operate personal computer, with spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Good organizational and self-starter skills with ability to meet deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide administrative support for the ESOL supervisor and coordinators.
- Perform routine tasks not limited to typing, filing, scheduling meetings, recording meeting minutes, and ordering and inventory of materials.
- Process purchase orders and request quotes for content related purchases.
- Prepare and process task codes.
- Support with the oversight of department budgets.
- Handle administrative details independently, including screening of telephone calls, composition of letters/memos, etc., and scheduling of appointments.
- Maintain office records, files and reports in an efficient manner.
- Maintain ESOL enrollment records for submission to Maryland State Department of Education.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
