Must be certified as a firefighter by the Division of the State Fire Marshall, Bureau of Fire Standards and Training, and have a minimum of 2 yrs of occupational experience or the equivalent of Part-time experience in a firefighting occupation, or a minimum of 6 yrs of occupational experience or the equivalent of Part-time experience in a firefighting occupation. The instructor must have a current Florida Fire Instructor Certification. This is a regulated program, so the instructor must meet those standards.
