The State College Area School District is accepting applications for an anticipated Gifted Support Teacher to join our Department of Gifted Services and Learning Enrichment. We are looking for an innovative educator who is passionate about challenging, inspiring, and supporting gifted learners while partnering with colleagues and families to ensure student success.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement differentiated instruction and enrichment opportunities that meet the unique needs of gifted learners in elementary and/or secondary settings.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate Gifted Individualized Education Plans (GIEPs).
  • Participate in Gifted Multidisciplinary Evaluations (GMDEs), including administering and interpreting assessments to determine eligibility for gifted services.
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff to support gifted learners through effective differentiation and inclusive instructional practices.
  • Coordinate and facilitate universal screening processes.
  • Build positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and district requirements.

Required: Pennsylvania teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain certification)

Preferred: Pennsylvania Gifted Endorsement (or willingness to obtain endorsement)
