Job Description Secondary School Assistant Principal. This position is a permanent full-time Twelve (12) month position available as soon as possible. Crawford Central School District, located in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania is seeking an inspiring, visionary leader able to encourage excellence in all aspects of an elementary educational program.
QUALIFICATIONS- Valid Pennsylvania Administrative Certificate (Principal K-12 or equivalent).
- Preferred minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience, preferably at the secondary
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as an Assistant Principal or comparable administrative role,
- Demonstrated knowledge of secondary curriculum, graduation requirements, scheduling, student discipline, and extracurricular
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology and data
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic and Cultural Leadership- Develops and sustains a shared vision for teaching, learning, and continuous improvement aligned with district priorities and secondary educational
- Establishes and maintains a safe, respectful, and inclusive school culture that promotes student responsibility and
- Promotes equity, access, and high expectations for all
- Leads school-wide improvement initiatives related to achievement, attendance, behavior, and graduation
- Provides leadership during emergencies and ensures preparedness and effective
Leadership for Learning - Supervises and evaluates departmentalized instructional programs aligned with Pennsylvania Academic Standards and district
- Uses multiple data sources to inform instructional decisions and monitor student progress toward graduation
- Oversees development and implementation of complex master
- Supervises department chairs and instructional leaders.
- Ensures compliance with special education services, Section 504 plans, gifted education, and
- Oversees guidance and student support services related to academic planning, credit recovery, and post-secondary
Systems Leadership - Interprets and enforces Board policies, administrative regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable
- Administers student discipline in a fair, consistent, and legally compliant manner, including due process
- Oversees student attendance and credit accountability.
- Prepares and administers the school budget and monitors
- Ensures accurate student records, transcripts, and
- Oversees building operations, safety procedures, and supervision
- Ensures compliance with regulations of affiliated organizations, including PIAA and other governing
Professional and Community Leadership - Recruits, supports, and evaluates professional and support staff.
- Facilitates professional collaboration and leadership
- Maintains effective communication with families, community members, and district administration.
- Serves as a visible representative at school events, extracurricular activities, and athletic events.
- Participates in ongoing professional learning to strengthen knowledge and skills in student support, positive behavior practices, effective instructional strategies, data- informed decision-making, and fostering a safe and supportive school

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Salary and benefits shall be determined in accordance with the Administrative Compensation Plan established between the Act 93 Group and the Crawford Central Board of School Directors.
EVALUATION Performance shall be evaluated annually in accordance with Board policy.
