The following noninstructional vacancy is listed in Human Resources for the 2026-2027 school year.

POSITION: Accountant
LOCATION: Career & Technical Education
ANNUAL EMPLOYMENT: Twelve Months (260 Days)/7 Hours Daily
SALARY RANGE: $37,401.00 - $41,678.00
(While in effect, additional compensation from the Millage initiative will be awarded annually. For the 2026-27 school year, the amount for this position is $8,954 and will be prorated from July 1, 2026.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
(1) High School or GED Diploma.
(2) Minimum of three (3) years' experience in bookkeeping.
(3) Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* (1) Provide accounting for the area of responsibility, including data entry and data analysis.
* (2) Verify the accuracy of and process documents necessary to the completion of the process in the particular area of responsibility.
* (3) Reconcile accounts for area of responsibility. Prepare journal entries as necessary.
* (4) Reconcile or assist with the reconciliation of bank statements as appropriate for the area of responsibility.
* (5) Ensure that sufficient documentation is available for auditing of the financial records in the particular area of responsibility.
*(6) Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
*(7) Maintain accounting controls and recommend policies and procedures to ensure internal controls are in place for the particular areas of responsibility.
*(8) Prepare financial reports as necessary for the area of responsibility by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
(9) Contribute to the team effort of accomplishing the overall task of the department.
(10) Perform other incidental tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
