Salary Range: $16.26 - $21.75 (8 Steps)**189 Day Contract**7:00 am - 2:00 pm
General Description of Duties
A. Complete daily tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
B. Preparation and serving of food or other routine tasks normally associated with the district food service operation.
C. Assist in the planning of menus, ordering of raw food materials, storage of raw food materials.
D. Plan and direct the assembly of elementary lunches.
E. Assume responsibility for the collection and monitoring of all elementary school accounting records.
F. Routinely work as a satellite substitute as requested.
G. Act as a proper role model for staff and students at all times.
H. Attend required professional development activities.
I. Perform duties in a professional manner and in accordance with Mentor Exempted Village Board of Education
policies and procedures.
J. Perform other duties as assigned which reasonably relate to the general scope of the job description.
Essential Functions of Position
A. Accept direction and suggestions from immediate supervisor.
B. Knowledge of the elements of nutrition as they relate to the student's development.
C. Skill and preparation of menu items for the elementary lunch program.
D. Skill in proper food serving techniques.
E. Knowledge of the regulations and requirements for the Mentor Exempted Village School District Food Service
Program.
F. Knowledge and understanding of all required reports, accounting forms, and processing forms
associated with the food service operation.
G. Knowledge of the commodities program.
H. Ability to solve problems involved in central preparation, transporting, on-site preparation and serving techniques.
I. Knowledge of the proper methods to prepare, serve, and store food to insure non-contamination.
J. Ability to follow all safety standards and personal hygiene regulations related to the position.
K. Follow written directions, write legibly, and complete reports using current computer hardware and software, if
necessary.
L. Possess strong interpersonal skills while working with students, parents, and staff in a positive public relations mode.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Qualities to Perform Essential Functions
A. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and obtain a health certificate, if required.
B. Successful experience in school food service programs.
C. Proficiency in reading, math, oral and written communications.
D. Must pass a physical examination.
E. Remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her
employment in the District.
F. Must hold a current ServSafe Level I certificate or be able to obtain one within sixty (60) days of hire.

Evaluation
The School Nutrition Services Satellite Line Coordinator will have his/her performance evaluated at least
annually by the immediate supervisor to whom assigned in accordance with the negotiated agreement
between the Mentor Exempted Village Board of Education, the Mentor Classified Employees Association,
and the Ohio Revised Code.
Terms of Employment
The number of days and number of hours per day to be determined in accordance with the negotiated agreement between the
Mentor Exempted Village Board of Education and the Mentor Classified Employees Association.
