The State College Area School District is seeking a highly organized and proactive Secretary to support the Directors of Special Education and Gifted Education. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of K-12 programming. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting educational equity and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, managing calendars, document preparation, and meeting coordination.
  • Oversee the Extended School Year program under the direction of the Director for eligible special education students.
  • Process and finalize IDEA & Chapter 16 documents.
  • Maintain historical records for all special education and gifted students.
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings and trainings.
  • Any other duties and projects as assigned by the Special and Gifted Education Administration.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • All Commonwealth, federal and District required clearances and mandates
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality
  • Experience in education settings preferred

The minimum pay rate for this position is $20.50 per hour
