The Assistant Principal is a key member of the building administrative team and provides leadership for student services, special education compliance, student support systems, and student discipline for students.

Working in close partnership with the Building Principal, the Assistant Principal provides day-to-day administrative leadership focused on ensuring that students receive appropriate academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and specialized support while maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment.

The position serves as a primary Local Education Agency (LEA) representative for Special Education and Section 504 processes and provides administrative oversight of IEP implementation, student support systems, behavioral interventions, and compliance requirements. The position also serves as the building's primary administrator for student discipline, including investigations, parent communication, disciplinary consequences, restorative practices, reentry planning, and student safety matters.

Certification:

Valid New Hampshire Principal/Assistant or Associate Principal certification (or eligibility for certification at the time of hire) and certification or experience in special education (or eligibility for certification at the time of hire).
