Temp: Warehouse Logistics Delivery Driver
JOB SUMMARYOperates and maintains district vehicles while performing a variety of transportation, logistics, warehouse, and customer service support functions. Duties include the pickup, delivery, staging, storage, and distribution of furniture, supplies, equipment, parts, mail, and other materials, as well as maintaining organized storage areas and supporting departmental operational needs as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Stages, loads, delivers, and/or picks-up materials, parts, supplies, furniture, tools, uniforms, equipment, mail and related items to designated locations.
- Fills requisition orders by counting out proper quantity of items and charges materials to work orders. Packs and checks orders to ensure all available stock is assembled for delivery.
- Receives, unloads, unpacks, and stocks supplies, equipment and materials in proper location.
- Assist supervisor with inventory by physically counting and recording items in stock.
- Maintains vehicle and storage areas in a safe, clean and proper operating order
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.

Education- High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Experience- One (1) year related warehouse and/or logistics experience preferably with delivery driving experience operating vehicles of one-ton size or larger required;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics- Knowledge of traffic and highway safety rules and regulations and the precautions necessary to prevent accidents.
- Knowledge of the operation of power industrial forklifts, pallet trucks and related equipment, including occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Ability to learn AACPS building and school locations and routes.
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
- Ability to employee business technology tools (e.g. E-mail, AACPS Intranet, electronic benefits enrollment tool, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
Licenses and CertificationsEmployee must retain active licenses, certifications, and enrollment as a condition of employment.
- Within 90 days, obtain Forklift Operator Certification issued by AACPS or Equivalency required.
- Hold or be eligible for Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B (Maryland) issued by Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MDOT MVA) preferred; or
- Hold or be eligible for Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B issued by Maryland or State of Residence Department of Transportation (DOT) preferred.
- Hold or be eligible for Driver's License (DL) Class C Non-Commercial issued by Maryland or State of Legal Residence (MVA/DMV) required; and
- Proof of a good driving record required.
- Daily access to reliable transportation.
